This winter camp is a four-day event and we plan to recruit 90 students (50 college students and 40 senior high school students). On the first and the second day, we invite two keynote speakers from Google Research/Brain to share their experience on AI research. Tutorials on Game AI will be given with easy-to-follow examples. More than 10 TAs from the CS department in National Tsing Hua University and National Cheng Kung University will help the attendees to build a baseline AI model. On the third day, the attendees need to brainstorm and modify the baseline model to improve their Game AI. On the last day of this winter camp, the attendees will use their AI model to compete with each other on the PAIA (Playful AI Arena) platform. Award winners have the opportunity to join the research project in Google Research/Brain. We also arrange a “Research Experience Sharing” session to provide holistic advising (e.g., graduate admission process, transition to graduate school life, academic and financial resources) for the students.
